Each chime includes a handcrafted Sailor — a meaningful keepsake designed to hang with your chime and honor the one you love.
Every Sailor is handmade and one-of-a-kind.
What Is a Sailor?
A Sailor is the decorative memorial piece that hangs beneath your wind chime.
It may include glass, stones, charms, symbols, colors, or imagery inspired by nature, faith, or personal meaning.
Some Sailors are purely decorative.
Others may include a keepsake urn or incorporate ashes into the design, depending on the option you choose.
Photos shown throughout our site are examples of previous handmade Sailors. Each piece will vary slightly, which is part of its beauty.
Included With Every Handcrafted Memorial Chime
Every handcrafted memorial chime includes:
• One handmade Sailor
• Created in the Forever Near style
• Included at no additional cost
This Sailor does not include ashes.

If you would like additional personalization, ashes options, or a specific Sailor design, you may choose one of the tiers below.
Keepsake Urn (Family-Handled)
+$50
This option is for families who wish to personally handle their loved one’s ashes.
Includes:
• A keepsake urn or pendant of your choice.
• Designed to hang with your chime or Sailor.
• You place the ashes or small token inside the keepsake urn yourself.

Custom Sailor (No Ashes)
+$50
This option allows for personalization without ashes.
You may:
• Choose from an existing handcrafted Sailor created by LouLou
OR
• Request a customized Sailor inspired by:
– faith
– nature
– animals
-waterfront
Ashes are not included in this tier.
Additional matching Sailors may be requested if you wish to add more than one keepsake.
With Ashes Incorporated

This is our most personal Sailor option.
Includes:
• A small portion of your loved one’s ashes incorporated into the design
• Created with prayer, care, and intention
Only a small amount of ashes is used.
Any remaining ashes are returned when applicable.
You will receive clear instructions for safely packaging and sending ashes.
After purchase, please know that you will receive an email from either forevernear.sfrancis@gmail.com or forevernear.mandrade@gmail.com requesting a digital signature. The pdf file must be signed and sent back before work can be started on the memorial sailors. Without the signature, we can not use any remains.
